I’ve seen meteorites that are as big as a person (but much heavier, since they’re solid iron). I don’t know what the biggest one ever found is, but I know the biggest crater is Chicxulub, near the northern tip of the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. It is thought that a meteor about 10 km wide struck there and caused a mass extinction event, not just from the impact but also from huge tsunamis, as well as all the dust it that went up into the air, blocking the sunlight for a very long time.
