Yes, I would absolutely love to be an astronaut. In fact, I applied for a job with NASA last year, but was not selected as one of their new astronauts. Putting telescopes in space does indeed give us clearer images (looking through the air in our atmosphere is what causes the problem from the ground), but there are a lot of other interesting scientific experiments that astronauts do besides astronomy!
