It does take a lot of work. You need at least a university degree and probably some post-graduate study. And there is a lot to learn and remember.
@gannaz: I was curious and wanted to know more about animals and things. Science offered a great structure and way of asking questions and finding answers. There was some hard work along the way, but it was always interesting and mostly fun. Did it take a lot of effort? Hmmm. Yeah, it took some effort. Not many things in life take no effort though and the best thing about putting in effort into something you enjoy and can then spend your life doing is that you feel really satisfied.
I get bored if there’s no effort involved in things! 🙂
I love exploring natural things. Why is the world the way it is? How do things work? Why are we here? All kinds of interesting questions are answered with science.
It did take a lot of effort, but it was worth it. A basic science degree takes at least 3 years at uni after doing the usual high school science subjects. Those who have completed a PhD have done at least 7 years at uni.
