Question: if we were able to teleoport or travel in time where and when will you go?

  1. @thunderstruck49: Putting aside the fact that we can’t (!) I think I’d love to zip back in time to see the dinosaurs. I mean seriously – how awesome would that be?! if I could travel anywhere, any time, I’d spend a lot of time visiting my lovely family and friends who are scattered all around the world. I’d have dinner with Julie who lives in New York – we’ve been writing to each other about canine science for over a year now (see: http://www.doyoubelieveindog.com), but haven’t ever had dinner together!

  2. Like Mia, I think it would be amazing to see the dinosaurs.
Also, since my (Christian) religious beliefs are important to me, I’d want to travel to the time of Jesus and hear directly from his mouth what he was all about, why he did what he did, and just how accurate the biographies in the Bible about him are.
It would also be amazing to travel a thousand years in the future and see how humans have advanced.
If I were just teleporting around, but not traveling in time, I’d pop over to the States every weekend to visit my family there!

  3. Yes, I’d probably go for the dinosaurs too. Did you know that the pictures of dinosaurs are just guesses about what colour their skins are? It would be fabulous to see the true colours in real life.
On teleporting – a much more civilized way of traveling than 20+ hours in an aeroplane – I would visit friends overseas. But it would also be good to see first-hand some of the planets we have discovered in other solar systems.

  4. It’d be interesting to travel into the future to see what the world was like and how far we could travel into space. I’d be happy to still be in Australia, and I’d say a couple of hundred years into the future would do the trick.

  5. I’d make 2 trips please, if I can use your machine twice 😉

I’d first like to go back to the start of the universe, and then just a little bit further, just to see what was around if anything at all before the big bang. Then from a nice little big bang proof bubble I could watch everything begin.

My other trip would be to visit the start of the human race, our cousing homo habilis and give his a few tools just to get him evolving a little quicker. Would be interesting if that made me change as well??
