There is certainly no scientific evidence for ghosts, so if they exist there’s really not a good way for us to tell. So I take that as evidence that the things that people might blame on “ghosts” instead have some other, perfectly normal, explanation.
There have been experiments that show stimulating certain parts of the brain can make us feel that “someone” is in the room, even when no-one is there. Some people are much more susceptible to this, and I suspect they are the ones who report “ghosts.” I agree with Kyler there is no evidence they are “real”

Good question @laravdw. There’s something inside me that really wants ghosts to be real, but then my science brain keeps saying ‘shhhh!’
It reminds me that if there were ghosts, we’d probably see them everywhere, as well as cat ghosts and cow ghosts. There’d be more ghosts than people!
