Question: Once you are finished making chemicals that detect bombs, what will you do after your success.

  1. @jake2013, thanks for that question. It’s something I get asked a lot and something I ask myself a lot too.

The most important thing to say is that there’s no guarantee of success. Thats the difficult bit about new science. But if it does work, then most likely I will pass the information about my chemicals to people who can make them into a tool for the army or police or airports to use.

As for me, I could continue doing research into chemicals. It could also be other ways of detecting explosives but it could also be anything else to do with explosives or detecting other things that are not related to explosives.

There’s also the change that I could go into teaching people science or writing about science to teach everyone.

Do you have any ideas for me? 🙂
