Question: Why when we sweat we smell different on our feet than other places?

Keywords: ,

  1. Sweat (perspiration) has very little smell. It is chemically very similar to urine. However it does contain nutrients and bacteria can grow in it, which makes the bad smell.
Your feet sweat more than most of your body and are usually covered in socks and shoes, which keeps the sweat there (on your arm it just dries off) so the bacteria have a great time. And they stink

  2. I imagine it’s due to different bacteria in those places and the smelly compounds they produce.

  3. Your feet are one of the sweatiest places on your body.
