I think the use pig heart valves but not whole hearts yet. I guess pigs are similar enough that this approach works, but it’s very different to using a sheep’s brain. Nothing will replace a human brain. Baaaa.

I agree with DJ – it’s only pig heart valves that have been used in people – that is a completely different type of tissue structure/function to a brain.
So to answer you question. No, they could not use sheep brains. My Dad (who was from England) used to eat them though. *gag*
