Question: do animals see just in black and white or in some colour?

Keywords: ,

  1. @kitty123: They see in colour, just differently to the way that we do.
Cats and dogs see in a range of blues and greys and yellows (check out: http://dog-vision.com/). Other birds, like some parrots, can perceive ultraviolet light, so their colours look even more amazing to them than they do to us. Insects can’t see red. This is because all the different animals have slightly different structures in their eyes that effect how they can perceive colour.
