Yep, as the sun starts to run out of fuel its outer layers will start poofing out and they will get about as far out as the earth. That will be a long process (it will be several billion years from now), but nothing on Earth will survive after that, so we’d have to move elsewhere by then.

I think astrophysicists believe that our Sun will expand out past the orbit of Earth before it finally collapses. Kyler might have a better answer
