I think I would not want to take away any technology. Just about every technological advance we have made can be used to benefit people (even if it can also be used to hurt people). And erasing the knowledge from our brains wouldn’t prevent someone from discovering it again later, it would just postpone learning other new things.
As far as I can tell, nothing in science or technology is inherently good or evil; that is why we have to be so careful in our moral and ethical and political discussions about how we use the technologies we have discovered and built.
Kyler’s answer is a goodie. There’s probably some nastier military technology that has no use elsewhere, but that’s arguably the price we have to pay for the freedom that we take for granted.
